The Challenge continues

Team Tanya, my sister, has taken the lead. This week she stepped up her cardio, look at her showing off, running up the stairs, and she is eating better. Even though we are competing against each other, I am proud of her.

Have no fear, the challenge is not over, and I still have time. I need to get my sh%#t together.

I’m making better choices today. My health is my priority, and I need to stop being lazy and plan ahead.

My choices this week are:

1. Enjoy my food but eat less – I will practice portion control

2. Make half my plate vegetables – this is tough for me, maybe if I add more color, I will do better, like red and yellow peppers, red tomatoes, and dark green zucchini

3. Drink water – this past week, I did not track my water intake, I need to get back to drinking 12 – 8-ounce cups

4. Eat more whole grains – This also is a struggle for me. My mind is trained to stay away from whole grain pasta, and brown rice. But I need to incorporate it in my meals some kind of way to keep things moving

5. Be a better cook – I can cook, but I do not like to, especially during the week. That’s where planning ahead is vital.

6. Be active whenever I can – I can do this. I am averaging at least 3 days of exercise. This week, my goal is 5 days, and I am even going to be out there at least one day a week with Stephanie on the stairs
